Principal's Message

The mission of Bombay Scottish School is to provide a safe learning environment that offers a variety of educational opportunities to enable our students to become confident, self-directed, life-long learners. They are thus given a chance to explore and experience a feast of exciting opportunities, both within and out of the classroom as well as across all areas of school life. We foster curiosity, risk-taking, exploration and discovery... skills that will remain with children for life. The result is a wonderful community of teachers and students who have a sense of purpose and enthusiasm as they feel suitably challenged and supported in equal measure. It is vital that our students develop a strong social conscience and a commitment to the common good. Our outreach activities stand as a strong testament to how seriously the school takes its role in the community. For all this to be possible, our hardworking, caring and dedicated staff has always gone that 'extra-mile' for every one of our students. Our teachers understand the sanctity of their vocation and are very proud of their craft; as such they are constantly looking for ways to refine it, thus role modelling the importance of continuous learning to our students. I am proud to be the Principal of Bombay Scottish School, Powai, serving our students and the wider community. We all want our children to become better versions of ourselves and live stellar lives with integrity and dignity. So I wish us both God's grace as we work together in the most extra-ordinary and most trying of all jobs... that of raising and educating our children. Ms. Jane Kotian Principal |
