After a few classes and worksheets, they were introduced to another game – 'Hool' which proved to be equally challenging. It kept them on their toes as they had to come up with innovative moves, while interpreting those of their opponents'. They learnt the art of speculating and the direction in which they had to be placed. The game come as a heartening relief from the many other online games played in solitary. Bridge compounded their social skills and gave them an opportunity to bond with each other.
The teachers too observed a few students attempting to use similar logic while solving math. The worksheets provided to the students explained the rules of the game in detail. The students were kept engaged all through the sessions as their analytical and critical thinking skills were honed.

A prayer service that remembers our Founders and Principals who have selflessly served the School in the past was held for the students the day before. Mr. S.V. Albal (Administrator and Treasurer of the Bombay Scottish Orphanage Society) and Mr. Vinod Yennemadi (CEO, Bombay Scottish Schools) joined us for the Exhibition held for parents and other invitees. The event offered a unique opportunity for both the staff and students to share an audio-visual and verbal presentation of current classroom activities and innovative teaching methodologies with the parents. Students worked in groups to create a display that expressed their personal learning experience in relation to the current curriculum. As a part of the function Grade 8, was provided with a platform that required the students to research, debate and discuss at current events. The students put up presentations on the need for elections in a democratic state while emphasizing on the need to cast one's vote through a deliberative street play. The next group opened the eyes of the audience to the scary but very real existence of climate change. The students demonstrated online apps that calculate carbon footprints of an individual. The dramatic choral recitation ensured that the parents acknowledged the harsh reality of climate change. Another group scrutinized the much glorified Jallikattu Debate, complete with its origin in the Rabi festival of Pongal and harmonizing/opposing views of celebrities and finally the bull's take on the entire topic. Needless to say, the audience was left wanting for more… there were some incessant requests for a repeat of the show. Every other grade had students strengthening their communication skills and confidence as they prepared for live presentations of teaching methodologies and learning outcomes in subjects like English, Hindi, Math, Social Studies and Science. There were role plays and recitations, sociograms and collaborations, a forensic murder scene that required a thorough knowledge of Physics, Chemistry and Biology, mathematical concepts that are a part of everyday lives… All students, some as young as Grade 3 showed their comfort level in using gadgets comfortably… whether it was holding a mike or the ICT in the classrooms. The parents were encouraged to interact with our presenters and provide feedback (Some classes got the parents to do so on Google forms) on their exhibits. Needless to say, the parents loved every moment of this new and improved way of Exhibition Day. They were a part of all the activities, games and shows designed for them and had a day in their child's lives… They realized how keen and enthusiastic their children were about learning.
